100% – UK album chart top 30

By Kris | July 1, 2012

Ginger’s brand new album 100%, which was made through the direct to fan platform PledgeMusic, has entered the UK album chart at 27 (and 3 in the independent chart), his highest charting album since Fishing For Luckies in 1996! Thank you to everyone who has contributed to the project, enjoyed the songs, joined in on the listening parties, promoted the album across all of social media and made 100% / 555% the success that it is!

The man with the plan, Gav McCaughey, had this to say:

Hey guys – thank you so much for making 100% / 555% such a huge success. This is Ginger’s HIGHEST charting album since Fishing For Luckies in 1996. This has debuted higher than all of his solo albums and Chutzpah, The White album, Must be destroyed AND Endless Nameless from The Wildhearts.

To be celebrating a new top 30 album, 16 years after the last one is a massive achievement.

Thanks for helping make this happen.

  3. See, this just says one thing to me… you can never stop making music. When the record got obliterated on pledge in SIX HOURS, I hope thats the feeling you got too, Ginger. Keep it going. Always. We need it, and so do you! Well done fella!

But, if this pledge thing had happened earlier with Chutzpah and Wildhearts, we would be looking at an ever higher position on the charts.
Still, a massive cheers & thanks to Gav & Ginger for this amazing achivement, fantastic albums and great times! You rule the music world!!!
